Weddings, Namings and Funerals

Kate O’Leary

Some important stages of life deserve recognition, be they joyful weddings, the promises we make to new babies that come into our lives and families or sad farewells to those we love. I have been lucky enough to have had experience of the former, and sadly have also experienced the profound loss of loved ones. A fitting ceremony on these occasions can give these life stages the meaning they deserve, and this is what I would like to offer you for your ceremony. I create personal, warm and honest ceremonies that will emerge from my taking time to talk to you, finding out about your needs and hopes – thereby ensuring that marriage vows, welcomes to children, renewals of love and commitment or eulogies will always reflect the person or people involved.

I have been a book editor for thirty years and spent ten years as a dyslexia specialist in an art college. These experiences have honed my writing and interpersonal skills, meaning I have a wealth of experience in helping people express themselves, in both written and spoken form.

I will work alongside you to create and deliver a ceremony or enable you to do so, in your own words. I believe the only way to do this is within a collaborative and respectful working relationship and, for this reason, I will meet with you in person or online as many times as you need to make sure that your ceremony is exactly what you want.
